We Need Revelation

We need revelation, but what are the essential things that need to be revealed to us? I believe that one of them could be the title of the Bible. What is the title of the Bible? It is the Bible! What does the Bible mean? The Bible is the book but every book has a title. When we look at a book, the first thing we see is the title of the book. The title of the book expresses the central idea of the book. What is the central idea of the Bible? This is a good question for us to consider and we need revelation to see the answer.

The burden of this conference is based upon what the Lord has spoken to us in the last few months. The Lord is calling us to repentance, leading us to be perfected, and bringing us into a sphere of love, so that all these can be the basis for our lives to be transformed and to produce ministries so that we all can reign with Christ in life. This is the way we can all arrive.

In Deuteronomy chapter 29, verse 29 we read, “The things that are hidden belong to Jehovah our God; but the things that are revealed, to us and our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.” The revelation we receive is not only for us to enjoy but it is for us to practice.

In Matthew chapter 11, the Lord Jesus was visiting cities according to His burden and the revelation of His Father. At a certain point, He opened His heart; He was happy and He exulted to the Father. Millions of people have the Bible, read the Bible, and even long to know the Bible, but almost none of them receive revelation. They use the Bible to do many things. The Bible is used to justify wars; the Bible is even used to repel mosquitoes. The Bible is used to do many things, but why was this revelation given? The revelation in the Bible was given to man so that the eternal purpose of God would be carried out. The Bible reveals the eternal purpose of God.

In verse 25 we read, “At that time Jesus answered and said, I extol You, Father, Lord of heaven and of earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants.” The Lord doesn’t give revelation to the powerful, strong, or giant ones. No! “You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants.”

Verses 26 and 27 continue, “Yes, Father, for thus it has been well-pleasing in Your sight. All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one fully knows the Son except the Father; neither does anyone fully know the Father except the Son and him to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.”

We need to take advantage of these messages and the first thing we need to do is to decrease. We need to become small. We need to be emptied and to open our hearts. The revelation is with the Son and He reveals it to whom He wills. The Bible is so close to us, but at the same time it can be so far.

Something happened to me before coming to the meeting. I was in the fellowship room when suddenly I looked at my chest and I didn’t see my name tag. I asked myself, “Where is my name tag? Where is my name tag? I thought it was here! I think I left it at home. I cannot be without may name tag in the first meeting of the conference.” I went home, but my house was closed and I came back to the meeting hall. Suddenly the mystery was revealed. My name tag was on my back!

The same thing can happen to you. The revelation can be so close but at your back. We hope that in these days we can simply turn to the Lord and change our direction. This is a calling to repentance. Saints, we are in the right place at the right time. Do not run! Let us simply turn to the Lord to receive His revelation. There is a central line in the revelation of the Scriptures.

Brother Lee could summarize his entire search for revelation in one sentence: “God became a man in order for man to become God in life and nature, but not in the Godhead.” This sentence is too big for a title. The other word could be the New Jerusalem. What is the New Jerusalem? We need to read the entire Bible to find out what the New Jerusalem is.
