Chapter 2
Scripture Reading: Eph. 4:11-13;
We have a strong burden before the Lord regarding the reality of this title, Until We All Arrive. God’s heart and what He has prepared is for all of us. None of us who are here should feel excluded. This word is for us. This word is for me! Is there anyone who feels excluded here? If you feel excluded, it is because you are deceived by Satan. This verse begins, “ … until we all…” So God’s heart includes you. If God’s heart includes you, you cannot be excluded no matter how you feel.
The title of this message is, Perfecting, Work and Building Up. The first message covered the matter of repentance. Repentance is the first step for us to be perfected; we need, first of all, to repent. Sometimes according to our concept when we say that we need to be perfected, this means that I have many good things but there is something which it is not good, so I need to be perfected. Actually, it is not like this! This matter of perfecting is to be perfect. Let me ask you a question: “Is there any part of your being which is perfect? Is there any part? No matter how good it is, is there any part that you can say is already perfect?” If there is none, we need perfecting and this perfecting includes our whole being.
Many times our good points become a hindrance to the Lord. Sometimes what we think is good in us becomes a hindrance. That’s why repentance is so important. Only those who repent can be perfected. Whoever does not repent, cannot be perfected. To be perfected is not to improve something. No! Each part of our being needs to be changed. Only those who repent, will allow the Lord to change “the good parts.”
Sometimes I look at myself and think, “This part is really good. It doesn’t need to be changed. Lord do not touch it because it is really good.” Then what happens? I am not perfected! But when I repent, I change my attitude, I change my mind, and there is a turn. Then I say, “Lord you can change me now. You can take away this part.” Hallelujah, then I can be perfected. That’s why the first message, the introduction, was so important. I hope that in this message we can open our whole being because we need to see that we need perfecting.
If we consider our living in the last six months, would the Lord give us an A+ and say that our service is the best? We are still not up to the Lord’s standard, so we need perfecting. This is our need. It is not a matter if we want it or not, it is a matter of what we need. I need perfecting. If I see that there is a need, the first thing is to open up my being to the Lord. I have to say, “Lord, here I am. I open my whole being. I want to open up my whole being, every door and every window of my being, so that You, Lord can come in and perfect me.” The first thing it is to open ourselves to the Lord to allow the Lord to work in us. Let us have one minute of prayer to give the Lord permission to work in us.
