A Young Person of this Generation Who Concludes this Age

Chapter 3

Come Out of Her, My People!

Scripture Reading: Rev. 17:1, 3; 18:1-2, 4

Amen, come out of her My people! This message is about a very important matter, the judgment of Babylon the Great. This can only been seen in the spirit. John saw four great visions, but in order to see these visions he had to be in a certain position. So in order to see what he saw, we also need to be in the same position where he was. He was in the spirit! Also, he was separated because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. Today the Lord is calling for a separation, but even more than this, since we are here, we are those already separated. We are here because of the word of God. Whoever is here because of the word, say “Amen” very strongly. Amen! Now say, “I am here because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ!” Amen! Today, the Lord would like to bring us into the spirit. He would like to show us something that if we can receive, will change our lives.

Outward Appearances

Let us see what the Lord would like to show us in Revelation 17:l, “And one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and spoke with me…” Stop here, the angle spoke with who? Spoke with me! “Saying come here; I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits upon the many waters.” We are here speaking about Babylon the Great, which has been revealed in Revelation 17 and 18 as having a religious and a material aspect. Religious Babylon is related to everything that has to do with appearances. Today the Lord would like to free us from every kind of outward show. We do not want to be a generation who live by appearances, but to be a generation who has reality. Many times our lives are very simple. It is a life full of imagination, a life full of dreams. Everything is virtual, everything is imaginary. But today the Lord would like to bring us into something real. Do you know what will occur in real life? In real life, religious Babylon and material Babylon will be judged. They will be condemned and will disappear. You know, one day the Lord was hungry and He went to a fig tree to look for fruit. And the Bible says that the fig tree had many leaves, but did not have any fruit. So apparently, this fig tree looked like it would give nourishment but it was missing the most important part, it had nothing to feed the Lord. Lord, we want to be a generation that gives fruit. We do not want to be someone who has only an outward appearance but be someone that has reality.

A Big Tree

One time I told a story about a very big tree which was found in Angola, a tree so big that 10 young persons could easily sit around its trunk. Imagine a tree so big that it took 8 young people to wrap their arms around it. It was such a monstrous tree. And I will not even speak about the size of the shadow this great big tree had. But you know what happened? One day this monstrous tree fell. And we went to see what could have caused such a huge tree to fall. Do you want to know what we discovered? Inside this tree we found absolutely nothing. This huge tree was hollow and its root was extremely small. Imagine the shame, such a monstrous tree with such a small root. Young people, what a dangerous tree this was, but this is the life of many of us. We have a very good appearance, but with no content and no roots. All of my living is here above the earth, and underneath the earth there is nothing. All of my enjoyment, my contact with God and my joy, is here in public, but in my daily life there is nothing profound with the Lord. But God is light! And to experience this God as light, I need to go to His presence. Isn’t this true? When I go to have fellowship with God, His light exposes me. But this light, young people, is not to condemn us but this light is to enlighten us. To save us from all appearances. Do you want accept this light?

A Religious Woman

In John 4, we see the Samaritan woman, who apparently seemed to have contact with God. Because of the things she spoke, she revealed that she was not an ordinary person. She understood everything about religion; she knew about Jacob’s well, and she kept traditions. She also knew the place of worship, “Our fathers worshipped in this mountain, yet you say that in Jerusalem is the place where men must worship.” So she even knew about the correct place to worship. She also knew about the prophets. She said, “I know that Messiah is coming; and when He comes, He will declare all things to us.” She knew how to speak all the right things. She even knew that Messiah would come. But all this, young people was just an appearance, it was all outward, she “appeared” very good. All the Lord had to do was just gave her one word and He filled her with light. Lord, today give us just one word and fill us with Your light. Save us from all appearances; save us from religion! In verses 16-18, “The Lord said to her, go, call your husband and come here. The woman answered and said, I do not have a husband. Jesus said to her, you have well said, I do not have a husband, for you have had five husbands, and the one you have is not your husband; this you have said truly.”
