I Need Light in My Life

In Revelation 17:3 it says, “And he carried me away in spirit into a wilderness” See here religious Babylon is in a wilderness in a desert. A life lived only in appearance, without reality, without enjoyment, and without seeking the Lord, is a dry and empty life. This is why the Samaritan woman was thirsty. Our lack of fellowship with the Lord, our lack of enjoyment and intimacy with the Lord, results in a life of thirst. Then, we seek to satisfy our thirst with many things that are not God. Amen? When I go to God’s presence, I gain light. If I do not go to God’s presence, I do not gain light.

First John 1:5 says, “And this is the message which we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is light.” If we say that we are in the light, we maintain the fellowship. So fellowship is the environment where God is, fellowship is the environment where the light dwells. When I am where the light dwells, I am enlightened and I see my real condition.

Now, I would like to ask you a few questions. I know that none of you are involved in any of these things because you are the generation that will bring the Lord back! But just in case I ask something that you have encountered, do not be sad. God wants to save you! Have you ever taken money out of your mother’s purse without her knowing? You may be thinking, “What is this? You must be joking. We are ‘The Generation.’” Ok, next question, have you ever cheated in school, yes or no? It’s time to begin to repent, God is light. This next one here I think probably not, have you ever taken anything from the supermarket without paying? For the next question, the serving ones do not need to respond. Have you despised the speaking of the serving ones, yes or no? I will ask the next one very fast, have you kissed before? Have you talked back and been rebellious with your parents? Do you talk during the meetings? Have you lied? Have you used swear words? Have you spent more time on the internet than with the Lord? Have you not paid back someone you owe money to? Have you criticized a brother? Have you skipped school? Have you played poker? If we have, we need to call “Lord Jesus!, I need light in my life!”

Dealing with Sins by Confessing Them

All this young people is the element of rebellion in us. We are like this but we have the blood of the Lord. If we confess, He is faithful and righteous to forgive all our sins. But we need to be enlightened; we cannot take care of these things on our own. I will share a common experience. Today I spoke a bad word with my mom and now I am going to share in the meeting. I need to cover that sin, so when I go the meeting I sing and I jump, trying to deal with my sin. This is not how you deal with the problem of sin. You deal with sin, not by covering it up but by confessing it.

In the Lord’s presence we are enlightened. Then we can confess every item, every sin, and every transgression. Don’t just make a confession such as, “Lord forgive all my sins.” No, we need to search our heart; we need to be enlightened; we need to confess item by item. You may say, “The Lord already knows what I did, what am I going to tell the Lord?” But He wants you to confess your sins and then to leave them behind.
