Don’t Make an Outward Performance

I’m sad to say this, but many who came to the front were not sincere when they came. I could tell by the expression on their faces that many came up to the front to show off. This is not what we are speaking about. This is a very serious matter, very serious. This will change your destiny. The destiny of those who do not believe in the Lord is the lake of fire where they will be tormented by day and by night for all eternity. It seems like a very simple thing, but it is not. This is why we would like to invite you once again. If you have not believed in the Lord and that is your destiny, and you would like to change your destiny, then you must believe in the Lord, and you need to receive the Lord.

Don’t do something outwardly because of the atmosphere of the meeting, nor simply because others are doing this. You need to realize that, within you today are two trees, the tree of life and the tree of knowledge. Do you want to choose to eat of the tree of life?

Do you know if you are saved, yes or no? Do you know if you have believed in the Lord, yes or no? We are speaking to those who have not believed but would like to make this choice consciously, seriously before the Lord and be born again. To these persons we say, “Stand up.” Don’t stand up because others have stood up; don’t stand up because others are looking at you. You need to make this choice consciously. So for these who are standing, only these please come up to the front. This decision which you are making today, do not make it simply because you are here, make this choice before the Lord. The Lord wants to enter into you as your life and live inside of you as the eternal life. This is what changes your destiny.

Receive the Lord

Let us all close our eyes and those who are in the front repeat after me. “Lord Jesus. Oh Lord Jesus. I have a poison in me, I was bitten by the serpent. Oh Lord Jesus. Save me Lord. Save me from this poison. Save me from death. Give me your eternal life. Oh Lord Jesus! I do not want to die. I do not want to be thrown into the lake of fire. I do not want the eternal death. I want the eternal life. Oh Lord Jesus! Forgive me! Enter in me! Save me Lord. Give me Your life. I want to be born again. Lord Jesus! Lord Jesus! Lord Jesus!”

You need to be aware that this is not a ritual. This is a decision which you made before the Lord to no longer live by your fallen nature, your flesh which makes you do so many things that you do not want to do. You have received a new life. The Lord created you with a human spirit in order for you to receive His Spirit. If you were sincere in your prayer, you have fulfilled God’s purpose in creating you. Hallelujah! You can now return to your seats.

John 3:4-5 says, “Nicodemus said to Him, How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he? Jesus answered, Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” Today we know the answer to the question Nicodemus asked. Not just an old man, but also a young man can be born again. And many were born again today. Hallelujah!

Be Baptized

In verse 5 it says that if you are not born of water and the Spirit, you cannot enter into the kingdom of God. This water also represents baptism. Once we have believed in the Lord something occurs inside of us. Inside of us there is a new life being born. Our old man dies and we become a new man with a new life. Once your old man dies, what needs to be done with it? It needs to be buried. You need to bury your old man. Not in the earth but in water. So we encourage you to take this second step. When you believe in the Lord, when you call on His name, and when you pray to Him, you take the first step. You believed so you took the first step, but it is very easy for you to lose your balance and you can easily fall. So you need to take the second step to complete the process. You believe and are then baptized. So we encourage all of you to be baptized. It does not have to be here or even today, but you need to take this step before the Lord. Let us finish by reading Mark 16:15-16 which says, “And He said to them, Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to all the creation. He who believes and is baptized shall be saved, but he who does not believe shall be condemned.” So you who have believed in the Lord, you took the first step, now complete the step and be baptized.
