He Who Believes, Out of His Innermost Being Shall Flow Rivers of Living Water

Chapter 7

On the Last Day, If Anyone Thirsts, Let Him Come to Me and Drink

Scripture Reading: John 7:37-39

Lord, we wait on You. Those who wait on You renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not grow weary; they shall walk and not faint. Lord we want to respond to Your calling, We want to take up our responsibility to be Your army to fight the good fight here on earth. Lord Jesus! Establish Your kingdom in every city, in every continent. This is Your commission for us. For this Lord, be with us. Don’t let us be involved with this world. Lord Jesus. We want to always be calling on Your name and pray-reading Your word, being constituted with Your word and digesting the messages in order to be firm against the devil. Keep each one of us. Jesus is Lord! Amen!

In the previous message, the Lord called us to be men ready to go out to war. We need to stop being women and children, spiritually speaking. All of us, brothers and sisters, are being called to be men of war. In this calling, the Lord calls people who are not to shame those who are. He did not call many whoa are powerful in this world, but those who are of no account in the world. The Lord gave us His Spirit and He taught us to call on His name. He taught us to pray-read His word and to give freedom to the Spirit to act. This is the most precious thing in the Lord’s organic recovery.

The Work of God

At the end of John chapter 6, the Lord wants to show that He is the true food. This is the reason verse 4 says, “Now the Passover, the feast of the Jews, was near.” This verse is seemingly out of context, but this verse is put here to show that the Lord Jesus is the true Passover Lamb. The children of Israel needed to apply the blood of the lamb to their door posts so they would not die because they were sinners. Our Lord is the Lamb who gave His blood for our redemption. We are saved by believing into Him. But more that this, the flesh of the Lamb needs to be our food. We need to eat to have the strength to leave Egypt.

If you want to escape from being trapped by the world, by Egypt, eat the Lamb’s flesh. “My flesh is true food and My blood is true drink” (John 6:55). “He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up in the last day (v. 54).” “I am the bread of life; he who comes to me shall never hunger and he who believes into Me shall never thirst (v. 35).” Hallelujah! “Work not for the food which perishes, but for the food which abides unto eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you; for Him has the Father, even God, sealed. Then they said to Him, What shall we do that we may work the works of God?” (vv. 27-28). What do we need to do that we may work the works of God? “Jesus answered and said to them, This is the work of God, that you believe into Him whom He has sent” (v. 29).

God’s work in the organic recovery is to believe. If you think you are very capable, you don’t need to believe. But if you don’t think you are capable, you believe. The work of God is to believe into Him whom He has sent. We believe in the Lord, and we believe in whom the Lord sends. There are saints who have the Lord’s commission and we believe in whom the Lord has sent because the word comes from God. When we believe the word that comes from God, God’s work is realized.
